Privacy Policy & Data Security

Last Updated: 2026-08-22

At AeroTools, protecting your privacy is our highest priority. This policy outlines how we handle files, text, and metadata processed through our free online utilities.

1. Zero Uploads & Local Processing

We do not upload, store, or share any documents, graphics, or code blocks you input. All 15 browser utilities (including Image Converter, PDF Merger, Password Generator, and Code Beautifier) execute fully on the client-side using JavaScript. Your files never cross the network to reach our servers.

2. Account Data Security

When you create an account to access premium AI prompts, we save only the vital info required to identify your account and process your subscription (name, email, and subscription tier). Subscriptions are billed through our payment processors — Stripe, PayPal and Lemon Squeezy — depending on the payment method you choose. We do not store your full card number or payment details; those are handled by the processor under its own privacy policy. Your passwords are fully hashed and inaccessible to us.

3. Cookies & Advertising

We use cookies to remember your language and theme preferences, and to keep you signed in if you hold an account.

Third-Party Advertising

We display Google AdSense advertisements to offset server costs. As a result of serving these ads:

  • Third parties, including Google and its vendors, may place and read cookies in your browser.
  • Web beacons and tracking pixels may be used to measure ad performance.
  • Your IP address and other identifiers (browser type, device, and the page you are viewing) are transmitted to ad networks.
  • Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.

How to Opt Out

You can disable personalised advertising at any time:

For details on how Google handles data from its partner sites, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We do not control third-party cookies, and we never pass your name, email address, or any personally identifying information to advertisers.

4. Server Logs

Our server keeps standard technical logs containing IP address, browser type, and request time. These are used solely for site security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics, and are not linked to your identity.

5. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If a parent believes their child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the data we hold about you, including: access, correction, deletion ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing. You may exercise any of these — or delete your account entirely — via our contact page. We will respond within one month as required by the GDPR.

7. GDPR — Information for Visitors in the EEA, UK & Switzerland

Data controller. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR, the data controller responsible for this website is AeroTools. If you have a question about how your data is handled, please use our contact page and we will forward it to the person responsible for data protection.

Legal bases. We process personal data only on a lawful basis. Where we process it to provide our tools, deliver a subscription you purchased, or respond to your requests, the basis is performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Where we process it for security and abuse prevention, the basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe service (Art. 6(1)(f)). Where you have given consent (for example, to advertising cookies via the consent banner), we rely on that consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Advertising & consent. When you visit from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, through the consent banner provided by Google. You may accept, refuse, or change your choices at any time. Declining consent does not stop the tools from working; it only stops personalised advertising.

International transfers. Our servers and our advertising and payment partners (including Google and Stripe) are located in countries that may not have been recognised by the European Commission as providing equivalent protection. Where data is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we rely on the appropriate safeguards provided by those processors, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data retention. Server logs are retained for a limited period (typically 30 days) for security and diagnostics, and account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time as described in section 6.

Supervisory authority. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe we have not handled your data lawfully.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services or advertising partners change. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
